Do you need a Social Media Detox?
Do you find yourself waking up in the middle of the night to check Twitter, Facebook, Google+?  Suffer bouts of manic depression when you discover no one is retweeting your tweets? If you’ve experienced these symptoms it might be time for a social media detox.

There’s a great video that treats Social Media addiction like a 12-step needed problem – done in Afterschool Special form…just look it up. It’s not mine so I’m not pushing it.
I suffer from this problem to some degree in that I get really bummed when my Klout score goes under a certain level after “working” so hard to get it up to that level. Some things seem so arbitrary and unfair. The irony is that I preach, to my kids and my readers/listeners how we must accept unfairness as part of life.
Anyway, REAL LIFE still trumps anything “virtual” and, I thank God, that I still get out and DO more than I tweet, text, or anything that involves a touchpad or keyboard!
Bruce, I couldn’t agree more. I discovered the real world last year and I haven’t looked back since!
Oh I can’t find that video… If you come across the url please send it on.
Thanks dude!
