Marketing Fails

Is the Planet Of The Apes marketing viral a little racist?

The new Planet Of The Apes film is due for release on August 5 2011. This viral “Ape With AK-47” has already received over three million views on YouTube and gives a new meaning to the phrase Guerilla Marketing. But, have the marketing execs at 20th Century Fox gone a little too far with this viral marketing stunt?

Planet Of The Apes might be a classic film, but according to Black America Web all Planet of the Ape films have been a tad racist.

What do you think?

i don’t think it’s racist at all. any group of people (African or not) would do this and get the same result, lol! it shows HUMAN stupidity/arrogance and is not linked to race at all–unless you CHOOSE to link it and that’s where you go wrong.

Not racist, just dumb. They spent the money to make that (for what reason?) and used a cheap gun sound sfx which killed the video. But really, Africa sucks don’t go there. And this video sucks. And starting a sentence with a conjunction is wrong. And Africa sucks.
