Free Facebook MBA
The London School of Business and Finance (LSBF) have started using Facebook as a platform for delivering content for its new free Global MBA programme. Now in between tagging pictures of your friends or playing Farmville you can study for an online MBA.
LSBF founder, Aaron Etingen said: “Earlier this year Bill Gates claimed: ‘Five years from now on the web for free you’ll be able to find the best lectures in the world…’. He was partly right – our announcement today has fast tracked his vision. The LSBF Global MBAâ„¢ starts today.”
Apparently 3 in 4 people who start online courses never finish them so the London School of Business and Finance will only charge for formal exams. Everything else is free. But before you get all excited there’s a catch. In order to install the app you must agree to allow it access to your list of friends and Facebook wall. This allows LSBF Global MBA to post status messages, notes, photos and videos to your wall. Only for this I would have signed up to trial it… pity. But on the whole, I think this could prove a successful marketing ploy as not everyone is concerned about online privacy.
